THE REALITY

The front door is broken.

Job hunting in 2026 isn't a paper game. It's a strategic process. Most people are still solving for "send more applications."

2%

cold application success rate

3,000+

applicants per role

30%

of postings are ghost jobs

53%

of hiring managers see AI resumes as a red flag

$0

value of another ATS resume

But here's what actually works:

85% of jobs are filled through warm introductions. The front door is broken, but the side door is wide open.

That's why it's called Grapevines. Because that's how hiring actually works.

THE PROCESS

Each step shapes the next one.

Most tools hand you one artifact (usually a resume) and leave you to figure out the rest. Grapevines walks you through six steps in sequence. Each one compounds into the next.

1

Profile

Your positioning statement, bridge story, and career narrative.

How your Profile gets built

1

Upload your resume

We read it and show you the perception you create: what hiring managers see, the gap between that and what you actually do, and the unique angle hiding inside your experience.

2

Have a positioning conversation

A short back-and-forth (most people finish in under 10 minutes) that surfaces the strategic angle your resume isn't telling. What you actually bring to the market, in language a hiring manager would use.

3

Get your Profile

A positioning statement, a bridge story connecting where you've been to where you're going, and a library of STAR stories from your real career moments. Everything downstream gets shaped from this.

2

Roles

Each role scored against your positioning. Strong fit, stretch, or pass.

Uses your Profile to score what matters.

3

Companies

Challenges, hiring signals, and the language they use internally.

Informed by which Roles you're pursuing.

4

People

The decision-makers and allies around each hire. Who to reach and what to say.

Shaped by your Company research.

5

Materials

Resume and cover letter, tailored per role, written in your voice.

Built from everything above.

6

Interviews

STAR stories matched to anticipated questions for each role.

Grounded in your real career moments from Profile.

By the time you reach Interviews, every answer is grounded in positioning you built in step one. Nothing is generic. Nothing is disconnected.

Before you apply, know the way in.

Paste any job description. We'll show you the fit, the hiring manager, and the people most likely to refer you in.

HOW IT WORKS

A career strategist in your pocket. Not a template generator.

Most tools give you a prettier resume and send you back to the job boards. Grapevines walks you through the same strategic process a $300/hr coach uses, except it knows your story, it's available at 2 AM, and it coaches you every day.

PROFILE

Your positioning, narrative, and stories. Before you do anything else.

Most tools start with the resume. We start with the strategic angle you bring to the market. Your statement, your bridge story, your library of real career moments. This is what every downstream artifact gets shaped from.

What Hiring Managers See

A solid execution-focused PM with strong stakeholder management. But the resume reads like someone who keeps the trains running, not someone who decides where the trains go.

The Gap

Your 47 A/B tests and data-driven product decisions are buried under generic bullets about "driving product roadmap." You're underselling the thing that makes you different.

What It Would Take

Lead with the experimentation framework you built, not the product launches. The 47 A/B tests across three product lines tells a story that "managed product roadmap" never will.

ROLES

The roles you're considering, scored against your actual angle.

Paste any job description. See exactly where you stand, what's strong, what's missing, and what to lead with. Stop wasting time on long shots. Focus on roles where you're already 80% there.

Resume Summary

Product leader who spent a decade learning how complex systems break when real people use them. Managed a 200-person property where three teams communicated seamlessly across shifts. Built the processes that made it work. Now applying that same systems lens to hospitality technology at scale.

Cover Letter Opening

When I read about Mews scaling support across three timezones, I recognized the problem. I spent eight years solving it in a different context: coordinating 200 people across shifts at a boutique property in Mexico, where a missed handoff meant a guest walking into a room that wasn't ready.

INTERVIEWS

Anticipated Questions

"Tell me about a time you led through ambiguity."

Pull from your Marriott Mexico opening. The 90-day systems integration story.

Talking point: 3 teams, zero shared systems, you built the handoff process from scratch.

"How do you prioritize when everything feels urgent?"

Use the peak-season triage framework from your operations days.

Talking point: 200 staff, 3 concurrent crises, you created the severity matrix still in use today.

"What's a product decision you'd make differently?"

The guest feedback loop you built too late. Honest, reflective, shows growth.

Talking point: Built the system after losing a key account. Now it's a competitive advantage.

THE TRANSFORMATION

See what changes when someone actually reads your career.

The Career Pivoter

BEFORE

"Experienced operations manager with 10 years in hospitality. Proven track record of process improvement and team leadership."

What recruiters think:"Operations. Not strategic."

WHAT THE CONVERSATION SURFACED

We asked: "When everything was running smoothly, what did that actually look like?"

She described 200 people across 3 shifts handing off information seamlessly. That's not operations. That's systems design for a multi-sided platform.

AFTER

"I spent 10 years learning how complex systems break when real people use them. I managed a 200-person property where three teams had to communicate seamlessly across shifts, and I built the processes that made it work. That's the same challenge product teams face at scale."

What recruiters think:"Product thinker. Unique lens."

HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT

Why a smarter resume isn't enough.

ChatGPT generates word soup. ATS keyword tools add filler. The result? 88% of hiring managers can tell it's AI, and 53% see it as a red flag.

THE CHATGPT VERSION

"Dynamic leader with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and team leadership in fast-paced hospitality environments."

THE GRAPEVINES VERSION

She thought she was "just running shifts." We found the systems design story in what she thought was operations. 200 people, 3 shifts, zero downtime. That's not operations. That's platform thinking.

THE RESUME-TOOL VERSION

A keyword-optimized resume that scores 85% on the ATS. Then you submit it through the front door and join 3,000 other applicants. The tool optimized for a system that's already rejecting most of you.

THE GRAPEVINES VERSION

We start with the question those tools never ask: "Who at this company is most likely to refer you in?" Then we work backwards from that conversation: building the read of your story, the read of the role, and the words to open the door.

Resume tools optimize for the door that's broken. We help you walk through the one that's open.

THE OTHER-TOOLS APPROACH

Every tool you've tried gives you one artifact: a resume, a cover letter, an outreach message. Then you stitch them together yourself, hoping they ladder up to a strategy.

THE GRAPEVINES APPROACH

We give you the workflow, not just the artifacts. Your positioning shapes your role choices. Your research shapes your outreach. Your stories shape your interview prep. Each step compounds the next.

Most tools sell you a hammer. Grapevines is the toolbox built around the work.

The difference isn't AI. The difference is asking different questions.

Try it yourself. Paste any job description at grapevines.ai/intel. We'll show you the fit, the hiring manager, and the people who can refer you in. No signup required.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Built for people who are done applying into the void.

The Career Pivoter

"I have 10 years of transferable skills, but recruiters only see my old job title."

We help you build the Bridge Story (Profile) and find the people who'd recognize it (People).

The Plateaued Leader

"I've done strategy, ops, product. But my resume reads like a laundry list, not a story."

We surface the patterns you can't see from the inside (Profile), score the roles where they land (Roles), and open the doors at the next level (People).

The Strategic Hunter

"I'm not applying to 100 jobs. I want 5-10 roles where I'm already 80% there."

We score roles against your actual background (Roles), map the people who can refer you (People), and give you the message to start the conversation.

THE STORY

Why I built this.

Manav, Founder of Grapevines

I spent a decade in hospitality. Opening hotels in New York, running boutique properties in Mexico. Building teams, designing experiences, making something work that wasn't working before.

When I tried to pivot into product, nobody could see it. I had years of solving the exact problems product managers solve, just in a different context. None of it translated on paper.

The system doesn't reward what you can do. It rewards how well you can explain it in the language it already recognizes.

I eventually made the jump. Became a product leader, built and sold a company. But I never forgot what it felt like to be qualified and invisible.

Grapevines exists because career strategy shouldn't require a $300/hour coach. The people who need the most help repositioning themselves are the ones who can least afford it.

And when I looked back, every job I ever got came through a conversation. Through the grapevine. So I built the tool that helps you work the grapevine strategically.

INVESTMENT

One successful salary negotiation for a $5K signing bonus pays for Grapevines for 5 years.

One month of job search at $150K salary = $12,500 in lost income. $79 is career insurance.

QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't hallucinate your experience. We extract patterns from your actual documents (performance reviews, project write-ups, LinkedIn history) and show you what's there. You decide what to emphasize.

Neither do we. Generic AI tools use templates. Grapevines learns how you naturally write, then matches tone and style to your patterns. Result: content that sounds like you.

ChatGPT can do parts of this if you know exactly what to ask and have the patience to manage 30 separate conversations. Grapevines is the workflow on top: it knows your positioning, remembers your stories, connects company research to materials, tracks which roles you're working, and keeps the sequence honest.

Resume tools optimize the document. They make a better-looking application that you submit through the front door, where thousands of others are already submitting. Grapevines starts a stage earlier: figuring out which roles are worth your time, and who at each company can refer you in. The resume is the last step of our process. It's the first step of theirs.

Yes. Once you've done positioning and built your STAR Stories library, interview prep pulls from your actual career moments. Each anticipated question shows the talking points that ladder up to your positioning. You're not memorizing answers, you're learning which of your real stories to tell.

The Bridge Story methodology is built for exactly this. The narrative connecting your past industry to your next industry is the most important artifact you'll write. Grapevines guides you through it during positioning and lets you refine it as you learn from each company you research.

Profile setup takes 30 to 60 minutes. Scoring a role takes 5 minutes. Researching a company takes 20 to 30 minutes. Most users tell us the inflection point is week 3, when the first warm conversation turns into a serious interview.

The Lead program ($997 one-time) is built for exactly this. We run the positioning conversation with you, synthesize the result, and hand back a calibrated positioning statement plus 12 months of support.

Your data is encrypted and never shared. LinkedIn content stays as drafts until you publish. No public profile changes happen without you. You control what gets published and when.
